Coming home from Lisa’s 30th I didn’t have time to do more than a quick rinse, brush my teeth and change into my traveling outfit before my lovely brother gave me a ride to the next train station so that I could catch the ICE to Frankfurt, where my friend Miriam had already been waiting.

Having a last cigarette and a cup of coffee to sober up we made our way through the security control into the duty free zone where we hung out that long, that we almost missed our flight, even though we had been at the airport 3 hours early (for those who remember me and Miriam trying to get to Prague at the same time, know why ;)).

Both flights (stopover in Doha) went smoothly and besides little confusion at the border control in Iran we had a quick and easy arrival in Mashhad where my father and my family picked us up.
